How the HTC 10 Stacks Up Against the Samsung Galaxy S7 & LG G5: Head-to-Head Comparison

HTC is trying to bring new life into its smartphone business with the release of their newest flagship the HTC 10. The Taiwanese brand had suffered weak sales recently but the 10 is expected to go head to head agasinst industry leaders, like Samsung and LG.

As a flagship smartphone, it also comes packed with the latest tech and a variety of features. Below is the list of specs that set this phone apart as reported by Indian Express.

As a flagship phone, the HTC 10 is in direct competition with the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the soon-to-be launched LG G5. The HTC has a 5.2 inch display compared to the Samsung's 5.1 inch and the LG's 5.3 inch display. The HTC's tech is SLCD while the Samsung uses AMOLED and the LG uses IPS. HTC and Samsung have the same resolution and HTC and LG share the same Quad HD features, Live Mint reported.

The processor of the HTC 10 is the same as the LG G5. The Samsung Galaxy, on the other hand, uses its own Exynos 8890-octa core processor.

In terms of weight, the HTC phone is the heaviest at 161 grams, next is the LG G5 at 159 grams and the Samsung Galaxy weighs 152 grams. It is also worth noting that the Samsung has a metal and glass back, while the HTC and LG phones have full metal finishes.

The HTC and Samsung phones have integrated fingerprint sensors at the home button. The LG has this in the power button at the back of the panel.

As for price, the HTC 10 goes for sale at Rs.52,990 or $790. The Samsung Galaxy S7 retails at Rs.48,900 or around $710 for the 32 GB version while the LG G5 is expected to be Rs.53,000 which is around $788.
