Samsung Gear Fit 2 Introduces Fun To Fitness, Comes With Improved GPS Features

Although it is no secret that Samsung is set to release a fitness tracking device, there is no sort of information or whatsoever as to what its specification will be. But now, fortunately, the tech giant has finally shed some light -- announcing the up-and-coming Gear Fit 2. And compared to the original one, the follow-up comes with improved tracking and GPS features.

According to SamMobile, the Gear Fit 2 prides with a design that is guaranteed to provide optimum comfort to users. It comes with a 1.5-inch touchscreen display (216 x 432 pixels), which is already curved, and super AMOLED. The upcoming Samsung device displays information such as steps taken, current time and activity and calories burned, among others.

Just like its predecessor, the Gear Fit 2 is also packed with a gyro, a barometer and an accelerator. Nonetheless, what makes it interesting is its capability to track the heart rate, making it very suitable for people who love running, cycling, walking and the alike. Moreover, the new Samsung device can be integrated with other health and fitness tracking applications.

Samsung Newsroom notes that improving the company's consumer lifestyle has since been its top priority; thus, Gear Fit 2 was further developed. And while its wearable technology can surely enhance a person's existing health routines, it can also make fitness a whole lot fun in one way or another.

Since Gear Fit 2 comes with an Auto Activity Tracking feature, users would not have to worry about manually activating the device. In other words, they can go on with their fitness routine with no trouble at all.

Furthermore, the new Samsung device Gear Fit 2 is capable of transferring a user's fitness data between other health application and the company's very own app called S Health. And if users want to compete with their friends for the sake of fun, they can simply utilize the device's "Step Challenges."
