Most of the reviews appreciate the Lenovo ThinkPad E560 for its 8 hours of battery life and a comfortable keyboard.
According to the specialized review site laptopmag.com, the Lenovo ThinkPad E560 is a business laptop aimed at small, value-conscious companies that need machines with good performance and lots of ports, paired with a comfortable keyboard and long battery life. The laptop comes with a starting price of $521 for the basic configuration.
The website tested a configuration including a Core i7 processor, a 1080p display, a 190GB solid-state drive, 8GB of RAM and AMD Radeon R7 M370 graphics. The conclusion of their review is that, overall, the ThinkPad E560 is a pretty good business laptop even if its screen could be more vibrant and the machine does not offer the same level of durability as some other competing laptops.
The design of the E560 is similar to other ThinkPad models. The lid features the ThinkPad emblem on the top right and Lenovo's logo on the lower left. The E560 comes only in the company's trademark black, unlike some of Lenovo's other recent machines.
The laptop features a 15.6-inch 1080p screen, a fingerprint reader, a full keyboard with a number pad, a touchpad with red accents on the buttons and a cherry-colored TrackPoint nub. On the palm rest is stamped for a second time the ThinkPad logo.
At 5.3 pounds and 14.8 x 10 x 1.1 inches, the E560 is a bit heavier but takes up less space on a desk than other 15-inch notebooks. Another advantage of the ThinkPad E560 is the fact that it comes with a port for just about everything, including an Ethernet jack, a lock slot, an HDMI port, a VGA port, three USB 3.0 ports, a headphone/mic jack and an SD card reader.
According to CNet, the E560 comes with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Edition or Windows 7 Professional 64-bit preinstalled operating system. Other preinstalled applications provided are Lenovo Solution Center, Adobe Reader, McAfee LiveSafe (30 days trial), SHAREit, PC Device Stage, ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery, ThinkVantage Product Recovery and ThinkVantage System Update.
