The Super-Efficient 2016 Twingo GT Now Unleashed

The compact Twingo GT is Renault's most fuel-efficient and new city car. The Twingo GT will debut at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, England on June 23.

Renault said that the diminutive Twingo GT is excellent for daily urban driving, thanks to its revised suspension tuning, which provides better handling and excellent driving dynamics. A more responsive variable rate steering, quick shifting manual gearbox and electronic stability control are also added for better performance and driving composure.

All these exceptional improvements are combined to the 3-cylinder 898cc turbocharged engine to provide the 110 horsepower output. Identical to Brabus Smart ForFo engine, the 3-cylinder turbocharged Twingo GT can acquire 100km/h from a stop in 10.3 seconds, Renault noted. 

The 2016 Twingo GT was made possible through the social media teasing drive by the French carmaker Renault. Renowned French carmaker Renault assures that the all-new Twingo GT will offer responsive steering feedback and sharp handling for exceptional road holding and precise cornering, according to Yahoo News Singapore.

Nevertheless, any performance figures are yet to be revealed by Renault. As such, Twingo GT performance, economy data, pricing announcement and car availability will be announced at the 2016 Festival of Speed.

In related news, Car and Driver reports that the 2016 Renault Twingo GT with a zippier 5-speed manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive and 110 hp 0.9L displacement engine is a compelling dimunitive city car. The Twingo GT makes 125 lb.-ft. torque and will have a true sports car resemblance, Renault said.

Aside from the Piment orange exterior paint, the 2016 Twingo GT is also offered in Lunar Grey, Crystal White and Diamond Black complete with extra special graphics and stripes. Inside, the Twingo GT has contrasting orange trim details, aluminum pedals, sporty Renault badged door sills and alloy gear knob.
