"Limitless" was not included as the one of the series that CBS will be renewing in the next few months. Though, there had been a possibility that Netflix would take a chance with the show. 

It came as a disappointment to many that the CBS did not renew "Limitless" as fans are expecting to watch their well-loved show unfold the next season. The show did not make it to the list of shows that will air from 2016-2017.

The series is an adaptation derived from a movie way back 2011 with the identical title. The movie did well given that the idea is well-executed in the scenes.

The plot is surrounded by the suggestion that our minds are limited and to unleash the our greater potential for strength and intelligence.

A verification of what will be the future of the show was exemplified when show creator, Craig Sweeny tweeted, "I'm truly sad to report that #Limitless will not continue on any platform. Thanks so much to everyone who watched."

Meanwhile, the network explains that what had transpired is not necessarily a cancellation since there had been talks made to other networks about potentially acquiring the show.

Per Crossmap , "Limitless" fans had taken a step further to demonstrate support to the show by carrying out a petition. Through this petition, they encourage other fans to help out in showing love for their favorite show so the network would renew it.

A lot of the supporters of the show were very vocal of how they loved the show and how they could not wait for the next season. Meanwhile, Netflix could just be the answer to that. It looks like it is testing the waters by getting the season 1 of the show.

Netflix had already picked up the first season of the show. This had created a new set of fans for the show who hopes it is Netflix who gives a chance to "Limitless".

If the rating proves to be good, then Netflix might take a second look on the show and continue to a possible season 2.
