'Dark Souls 3' First DLC Release Date Revealed? Second Expansion To Arrive In March 2017 Ending The Game's Narrative

FromSoftware has proven time and time again that they are one of the giants in the industry. And sure enough, "Dark Souls 3" is a living proof to that. With over millions of copies being shipped, the studio's latest title is synonymous to a massive hit. Now, the game is confirmed to receive two DLCs, both of which will conclude the series as a whole. Here are the latest about the upcoming expansions.

According to Christian Times, the two forthcoming "Dark Souls 3" DLCs will mark the conclusion of the franchise. As a matter of fact, FromSoftware has already iterated in the past their intentions to do so. That instead of creating additional follow-ups and/or spin-offs, their main priority would be to come up with new IPs.

The first "Dark Souls 3" DLC on schedule is believed to arrive sometime in fall this year, particularly around September. Not only will it raise the bar of the game's action style, its intensity is also set to be highly impacted. In fact, speculations are pointing at a possible mix of "Bloodborne" and "Demons Souls," two titles that were also developed by FromSoftware.

It holds true, though, that the contents of the first "Dark Souls 3" DLC still remains vague. After all, the video game company has yet to release any further details about it. Nonetheless, it is said to introduce new features -- from newer locations to gears to enemies, among others.

Christian Today, on other hand, reports that the second "Dark Souls 3" is expected to arrive sometime in early 2017. It is likely to be in March, which is also the same month that the title has been launched earlier this year. The upcoming expansion is rumored to introduce a fitting story that completes the game's narrative. Besides, it acts as the conclusion to the series.

"Dark Souls 3" publisher Bandai Namco witnessed a huge success following the title's release. And after four months, the studio was able to ship a whopping 3 million copies internationally.
