Limited OnePlus Soft Gold To Launch Internationally Next Week

The OnePlus 3 has, since its release, become a successful smartphone. In an oversaturated market, it managed to stand out and make a name for itself, much like the company that manufactures it. Now, a month after its official release, OnePlus is giving their latest flagship a second wind for the race - a new color variant that once again proves different from the rest.

According to The Verge, the OnePlus 3 now has a Soft Gold version that is available in the United States, effective July 26. The Hong Kong and Canadian markets will follow on August 1st. The color, though not necessarily gold, is much softer than the gold versions of OnePlus' competitors.

As Pocket Lint adds, OnePlus has warned interested customers to act quickly, as it expects that the OnePlus 3 Gold will sell out quickly. After all, the company describes the experience as one best understood personally. However, it does paint a pretty picture, as it calls the unit "light," "elegant" and "reminiscent of holding fine, silky-soft sand."

It has a unibody design cut from just one block of aluminum, which puts its design well beside the likes of Apple and HTC.

Naturally, it is not just design that keeps the OnePlus 3 Gold afloat. Under the surface, it really is a notable smartphone. According to GSM Arena, it runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Further, it is quick with 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage.

All around, the device is only 152.7 x 74.7 x 7.4 mm, with a 5.5 inch screen and weighs just short of 160 grams. Its rear camera is 16 megapixels, while the front camera is 8 megapixels. The battery is a standard 3000mAh, but is definitely enough to last the day on one charge.
