Motorola Revival: Motor Z And Motor Z Force Droids Feature Slimmest Body & A All-Day Battery Life

Motorola is back with two new slim devices that put all other smartphone designs to shame. Going back to its roots and what the company is remembered for, the Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Force Droid are the thinnest handsets in the market. Despite this, Motorola has packed both units with high-end specs and its own innovations.

According to InStyle, the best feature on the device is the "Moto Mods," which attach to the phones magnetically.With different attachments, the device can transform into a complete entertainment center. These include an audio attachment, a projection attachment and different cases.

The audio attachment makes it more convenient for users, as a separate set of Bluetooth speakers will not be necessary. The JBL Soundboost mod also comes with a kickstand. Meanwhile, the projection attachment, officially called the InstaShare Projector Mod, provides the users up to 70 inches of projection. Lastly, there are multiple design mods available, that will allow the user to personalize the unit as they wish. Some, like the Kate Spade PowerPack Moto Mods, even allow 22 hours of extra battery life.

Without the additional mod, the Moto Z Droid has a 2600 mAh battery, which is non-removable. As confirmed by AnandTech, the unit is only 153.3 x 75.3 x 5.19 mm all around and 136 grams. Meanwhile, The Moto Z Force Droid is slightly bigger at 155.9 x 75.8 x 6.99 mm and weighs a little more at 163 grams.

Nevertheless, the two share the 5.5-inch 2560x1440 AMOLED display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Both also run have 4 GB of RAM and options of 32 GB and 64 GB of online storage. However, the storage is expandable via a microSD card.

The rear camera of both the Moto Z and Moto Z Force Droid are 13 megapixels, while the front camera of both Motorola units is 5 megapixels. Both run on the latest Android operating system, the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
