Parties were held and fans play dress up to celebrate the release of the book.

Berger added that these celebrations signify the continuation of the strong sales of the book. "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" is not only available in hard bound books but also in Kindle and Pottermore will be selling e-books.

"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" is not a sequel of the famous "Harry Potter" books. Though it is in the same setting, the story happened 19 years after. It's about Harry and Ginny's youngest son, Albus, and his struggles at Hogwarts. According to Metro UK, the book is the just the script form of the play of the same title.

Some fans were really happy about the book. However, not everybody was thrilled when they learned that the book was just the script form of the play. Also, there were fans who were not happy with the story itself. Many were calling it a "fanfiction". There were also others who are saying that it did not live up to expectations. They said that the plot twist did not make sense. Still, many Harry Potter fans were very happy that the story has a follow-up.
