A boatload of good news is awaiting all the “Splinter Cell” fans out there. Ubisoft has just revealed that their upcoming game “Splinter Cell: Blacklist” will feature extensive stealth mechanics.

The news was revealed by the game’s Twitter account. When asked for information about the game’s stealth mechanics by the fans on Twitter, the company decided to respond to them by saying that the game will feature tons of stealth.

The company has also stated that its E3 demo of the five minutes gameplay video does not represent the final game and that it was a small taste of the things to come as this will be the biggest Splinter Cell game ever made.

Ubisoft, in order to add more zest to the upcoming game, has added that the players will be rewarded by their ability to play stealthily/remain undetected. To cut it short, the stealth mechanics of the game will be more advanced than that of “Conviction” which released in 2010.

The game’s Community Developer, Zack Cooper also revealed that Spies vs. Mercs mode will be back, and there will be plenty of shadows, darkness and sneaking. Moreover, players will be able to move bodies and use sticky shockers. The game will also feature alternating routes and more open levels.

According to the game’s official page, “The United States has a military presence in two thirds of the countries around the world. A group of 12 have had enough and initiate a terror ultimatum called the Blacklist – a deadly countdown of escalating terrorist attacks on US interests. Sam Fisher is the leader of the newly formed Fourth Echelon unit: a clandestine unit that answers solely to the President of the United States. Sam and his team must hunt down these terrorists by any means necessary, and stop the Blacklist countdown before it reaches zero.”

The game is set to arrive next year in Spring.
