'Thor: Ragnarok' Update: Release Date, Cast Plus New Villain And Loki's Return

After the success of Captain America Civil War, MCU will now be eyeing on Thor's third movie installment entitled Thor: Ragnarok. Despite of Thor: The Dark World being the weakest on their Phase Two films, Marvel knows how to shake things up and give Thor a classic movie he deserves. While both previous movies are great, they are nowhere on the level in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Based on the reports the aura of the movies are too heavy. The third installment of Thor suggests to compensate the balance with Hemsworth's latest appearance on the comedy film Ghostbusters.

According to Cinema Blend, Thor: Ragnarok teased some new villains including the addition of Sutur the fire demon. Sutur was spotted on the end part of the footage which has been given CGI magic. He first appeared in the comics back in 1963. He came from Muspelheim and got a ton of superpowers which includes strength, pyrokinesis, magic, strength and dimensional transportation. He is indeed a big threat to any of the Avengers. Luckily, two of its most powerful members Thor and Hulk will be facing Sutur which makes it even.

According to Games Radar, Thor: Ragnarok will add new cast members. This includes Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as the eccentric Grandmaster, Karl Urban as Skurge, and Cate Blanchett as the new Villain Hela. On the other hand, the film's main cast will comprise of Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as Thor, Mark Ruffalo also reprises his role as The Hulk, Tom Hiddleston and Jaimie Alexander reprise their roles as Loki.

While the upcoming Thor film is underway, several questions were now constantly raised by fans especially on Loki's return. Actor Tom Hiddleston previously said that, he still doesn't know if Loki will return on the film. But as fans would like, he needs to return to answer some of the cliffhanger shown on the last Thor movie. Regardless, as Thor is coming back to the realm, Loki's appearance is absolutely inevitable.

The film marks the return of the Hulk after he flew away at the end of the Avengers: Age of Ultron and reportedly occurs after the Ultron timeline. Thor: Ragnarok is scheduled on November 3, 2017 on the US and October 27, 2017 on UK.
