Lorde’s debut album "Pure Heroine" was released in 2013 and has not released any new album since. According to entertainment website NME, one of her fans asked her online, “Do you think we'll ever get another album or should we just give up on you as an artist?"

The question seemed to have irked Lorde which prompted her to reply “give up one me if you want to”

She further was quoted writing, “I'm an artist, I write a record when I have enough special stories to tell, and it's all me, every melody every lyric, not some team who just start the machine up every eighteen months like clockwork.”

Lorde has not been totally out of the scene after her debut album’s release. She was seen performing a tribute to David Bowie at the ‘Brit Awards’ and recording original songs for the movie ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Pt. 1’.

While Lorde was clearly upset over the fan’s question, she also mentioned “We’re in the production stages now, I’ve worked like a dog for a year making this thing great for you guys.”

This is definitely a good news to all the Lorde fans out there as it is now confirmed that a new Lorde album is already written and will be out soon.

As for the outspoken fan who dared question Lorde, she seemed to be very happy with the update and was seen posting this reply, “Just what I wanted to hear. I love you and respect your talent so much. I just need your voice. You are one of the most talented musicians out there girl. You are the future. You are magic. Didn’t mean to offend in any way.”

Both posts have since been deleted but fans are surely pacified for now.
