'The Winds Of Winter' News And Updates: 6th Book Should Be Completed By 2017; 7th Installment To Follow Shortly?

The release date of the sixth installment of the George R.R. Martin's book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" has been very much anticipated by the fans already. Amidst all the rumors and even though it hasn't been confirmed yet, the book may be released by 2017 already.

"The Winds Of Winter" May Be Released By 2017, Simultaneously With "A Dream of Spring"

Both the fans of the book series and the HBO series "Game of Thrones" have long been waiting for the announcement of the release date of "The Winds of Winter". There have been speculations that George R.R. Martin would have already announced the release date of the book during the MidAmericon but has remained silent on the issue.

There have also been speculations that the release of "The Winds of Winter" has been delayed due to allegations that it may be released simultaneously with the seventh installment entitled, "A Dream of Spring," although this hasn't been confirmed by the author himself. He did however admit to being a slow writer, hence the long wait of the next book.

George R.R. Martin Admits To Bad Days During Writing The Book

George R.R. Martin admitted during an interview about how sometimes, he has some bad days when he is writing where no concept or anything just comes to mind, so he just sits and reads his emails. Other days are good, wherein he gets to write as much as he could.

It is not uncommon for writers to have lapses during their moments in writing, so the fans of the book series have been very patiently waiting for the official announcement. For now, they just gather all the information they could get that will help fill the voids as they wait for "The Winds of Winter." Some of the fans have also been successful in putting pieces together, during Martin's separate interviews about the book.
