NBA Trade Rumors: Lakers To Sign Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry?

Golden State Warriors’ point guard Stephen Curry is slated for his free agent status next summer and will have the chance to sign in any ball clubs. This opportunity is but a great time for the Los Angeles Lakers to acquire him with the optimism of nabbing the highly coveted NBA Champion title.

Many teams are eyeing to sign Curry as his presence and contributions in the world of basketball is no less than significant. Having said this, Lakers couldn’t be more interested in eyeing to roster the two – time Most Valuable Player in their team.

According to Morning News USA, Lakers head coach Luke Walton (Warriors’ ex coach) has the wit and abilities to woo Curry for an agreement with Lakers.

It is notable that Golden State has a super team as of this date with the powerful collaboration of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant. These influential elements in the basketball arena seems to be unbreakable, thus, to trade one of them is unlikely possible.

NBA Analyst Arthur Hill slams the possibility of Curry’s departure from Warriors.

“It may be fun for Lakers fans to dream about the possibility of Golden State players following their former coach to L.A., but we can’t envision any scenario where Curry leaves the Warriors.”

Hill noted that despite the star player’s current low pay, GSW will eventually propose a great offer.

“He’s criminally underpaid at about $12.1MM for the upcoming season, but that’s a result of signing his current deal four years ago when there were still concerns about his ankles. The Warriors aren’t in a position to renegotiate right now, especially after signing Kevin Durant, but they will take care of Curry next summer. The Lakers will have to look elsewhere for stars,” he elaborated.

If the big move happens next year, Lakers will be more than lucky enough to steal Curry from the Warriors.
