It was said that the MacBook Air 2016 would come with fingerprint recognition. Siri can also show up with the unit alongside a USB C port. It was also said that the MacBook Air 2016 will come with a slimmer boy, better battery, and an improved cooling system.

It was also mentioned that the new MacBook Air 2016 will come with Intel Skylake, the same processor the MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to come with. Furthermore, the MacBook Air 2016 is expected to come with stylus integration for its trackpad.

Considering that Apple sticks to a specific price range when it comes to its gadgets, the MacBook Air 2016 is expected to be priced at $899 and $999 for its smaller and bigger units respectively. The smaller unit may be 11-inch in size while the bigger unit may come with a 13-inch size.

However, there is another source saying that the new MacBook Air 2016 units will come with bigger sizes but with the same prices. So instead of the 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air 2016, there might be 13-inch and a 15-inch MacBook Air laptops coming up.

Different sources provide different rumors about the release date of the MacBook Air. One source said that the MacBook Air might be announced alongside the iPhone 7 on September 7. Another source also said that the MacBook Air 2016 will be released later in the year. But of course, there are also rumors saying that the MacBook Air won't be making an appearance at all, especially now that the iPad Pro exists as a laptop replacement. The 12 inch Retina MacBook might also hinder the MacBook Air 2016's release.
