'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Spoilers: New Negan Promo Video Hints Abraham Is Safe Despite Death Rumors; Fans Skeptical

Fans of "The Walking Dead" might have something new to theorize about with the latest trailer released for the show's Season 7.

Since the breathtaking cliffhanger in the Season 6 finale of "The Walking Dead", fans have been speculating non-stop as to who will meet their demise through Negan's barbed wire wrapped bat, a.k.a. Lucille.

Reports claim that majority of the viewers voted Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) as the most likely candidate to be Negan's first victim.

Since Glenn actually died in the comics, it is only natural to speculate that he will face the same fate. Will the series go after the original story or will it take on an entirely different plot?

On the other hand, Abraham also showed signs that he could be it. His tough character patched things up with his best buddy Eugene (Josh McDermitt) and he also found a new love with Sasha (Sonequa Martin). This might be the perfect time to end his character to bring more heartbreak to the viewers and to "The Walking Dead" series itself.

However, this perspective might change a bit following the new Negan promo video released recently.

In the said trailer, a character that "resembles" Abraham is being pinned down by a walker (around 00:21mark). If speculations are true, that could only mean that Abraham was not Lucille's victim after all.

But some fans were not convinced. The character appears to have a scarred face, which Dwight has by the way. The character in question also has reddish hair. Sure, Abraham has reddish hair, but the one on the video appears to be long and stringy, which pointed to Dwight again. Whether it's Abraham or Dwight being pinned down by a walker still remains a mystery.

The short trailer also showcased quick shots of Carol, Tara and Morgan, so it's safe to say that they are safe. There's also a sword slash who is obviously from Michonne and a motorcycle crash which is probably Daryl.

In a recent report, those names were also mentioned to be safe from Negan's wrath. So, if it wasn't any of them, then who is?

Fans will have to wait when "The Walking Dead" Season 7 returns Oct. 23 on AMC.
