Honor 8 Has Sold 1.5 Million Units Since July

Ever since Huawei has come out with its Honor sub-brand, the Honor line of smartphones have done well in the market. Tihs is partly due to its large home market, where it enjoys a huge advantage. Among the Honor phones that have done well so far is the Honor 8.

Huawei has announced that the Honor 8 has sold 1.5 million units since it came out last July. Honor's Vice-President Zhao Ming has made the announcement during a press conference. More will be added to this number since the Honor 8 is also in the U.S. and the U.K. as Phone Arena notes.

All in all, the Honor brand of smartphones have been doing well with 100 million units sold. The Honor 8 had around 5 million registrations in less than four days when it came out last July. With a large market in Asia, the Honor 8 could add even more to that. GSM Arena also reported that the phone has only come out in the U.S. and Europe last month.

The Honor 8 has the specs that go with it. It comes with the Kirin 950 processor and a choice of 32 GB internal storage and 3 GB RAM or 64 GB internal storage and 4 GB RAM. It has a dual 12 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. It runs Android 6.01 Marshmallow as its OS, and has a large battery as well at 3,000mAh. The Honor 8 is sold in the U.S. at $399.99 for the 32GB model.

One disadvantage of the Honor 8 is that the battery can't be removed, so replacing its battery won't be an option. It should be a minor point for those who would want to check the phone out, though. Many point out that it has a good price for the specs that it has and can rival even high-end models from Samsung and the iPhone.
