Meryl Streep To Star In Own Prime Time TV Show

Meryl Streep is gracing the TV screens with her award-winning talent in a prime time TV show titled "The Nix". Although no specific dates yet, fans are anticipating the actress' newest acting stint.

Actress Meryl Streep is loved and known for her acting prowess and of course, flexibility. Award giving bodies seem to do so, too. She just won three Oscars and got nineteen nominations, a solid proof of her outstanding talent.

It seems evident that this era in our world is big not only for the big screen but also for TV series. Tons of shows deliver excellent and pleasurable viewing experience to its audience. Stars from TV shows can be lined with known movie stars nowadays that's why it's not surprising that a lot of film actors are now venturing to series as well. Turns out, the over-talented Meryl Streep will be one of them. News recently claims that the 67-year-old Hollywood A-lister could be starring for prime time in a new series called "The Nix" as reported by Today.com.

The upcoming series will be based on this year's acclaimed novel by Nathan Hill. Its story will revolve around the life of a failed writer who is forced to reconnect with his estranged mother after facing criminal accusations. The lead character decides to use her as inspiration for his next project, only to realize that he knows not much about her mother, let alone his own life.

Streep will play the writer's mother. Critics are betting that she will be amazing. She's normally just given 90 minutes to reel us over, imagine what she can do in a whole season?

As the dear Miranda Priestley would say, "That's all."
