NBA Trade Rumors: Rudy Gay Dissatisfied With Kings; To Sign With Rockets Or Thunder?

Veteran forward Rudy Gay is ready to switch teams and Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets are more than willing to sign him a deal that he cannot refuse.

Gay has been making waves in the NBA trade rumors for a couple of months following his “unhappy” disposition with his current league, the Sacramento Kings.

Reports claim that the 30 year – old star is obviously not content with the Kings and the team has been actively shopping other ball clubs for a swap.

“Rudy Gay is clearly unhappy in Sacramento (I mean, who's not?), and the team has been actively looking to trade him.”

According to The Bitbag, ESPN’s Kevin Pelton shared his critical analysis on the relationship of Kings and Gay.

“Gay’s reunion with his former assistant coach in Memphis, new Sacramento head coach Dave Joerger, might be short-lived. After the Kings loaded up on forwards this offseason, it looks inevitable that they’ll try to become the latest team to benefit from trading Gay.”

It can be inferred in Pelton’s perspective that the Kings would need to take risks in order to gain logical returns after trading Gay.

Joining Oklahoma City Thunder in courting Gay for an agreement are the Houston Rockets. The two squads offer ideal trades but which group will Gay pick in the end?

The Oklahoma City Thunder is considered as a reasonable landing place for Gay considering that they are in dire need of filling up the vacancy at the small forward position. Ersan Ilyasova, Mitch McGary and Josh Huestis could make a practical bundle for Kings in exchange of Gay then.

A report revealed that Houston Rockets is the team "most interested in Rudy Gay" per House of Houston. Gay is foreseen as a good fit in Coach Mike D'Antoni's system of rules yet the Rockets' don't have much to offer to Kings not until both ball clubs arrive with a mutual decision of a Trevor Ariza and Gay swap.

While the picture of Rudy sporting a different uniform remains a blur, we are safe in leaving him with the Kings at the moment.
