Ashton Kutcher As Steve Jobs: Shooting Scenes Pictures Emerge Online [PICS]

The first pictures of Hollywood actor Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs have emerged online recently. Kutcher was reportedly seen doing shooting for the Apple CEO's upcoming biopic entitled "jOBS". He was seen sporting shaggy hair and a beard and was snapped on the set of the flick in Los Angeles, California, on 18th June, reports Digitalspy.

Talking about the movie, it will focus on the earlier years of Jobs' life, from 1971 to 2000, as informed by the producer Mark Hulme. And rather than being about to Walter Isaacson's best-selling biography "Steve Jobs," the movie is supposedly based on widely available information. Further, Josh Gad is to play Steve Wozniak in this film.

According to reports, Hulme also informed that Kutcher was chosen for the role because he looks like the late Apple executive during his younger years. "When Ashton read the script he was immediately attracted to the project," Hulme said. "He is a Steve Jobs and Apple fan, and is technologically savvy, as well, so he recognized the historical importance of Steve Jobs and the potential of the project."

Further, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak recently backed the casting of Kutcher as Jobs, telling TMZ, "The fear that many might have is that Ashton was selected because he's 'hot' right now.

"But I feel that his selection was done in the most professional manner. And I'm glad that he's on board. I think he'll put a lot into it and that he cares about this particular subject."

Wozniak continued: "It's almost too bad that Steve Jobs is gone. His opinions and guidance, as to the story and film crew and cast would have been invaluable."

He added: "My hopes are that this film turns out as truthful and genuine as possible. I can't judge that aspect until the film is done and I see it."

"jOBS"  is due to hit cinemas in by the end of this year or by 2013.
