‘Making A Murderer’ Season 2: Brendan Dassey To Stay In Prison; Netflix’ Series Wins 4 Emmy Awards

The second installment of Netflix’s “Making A Murderer” has a plate full of twists and turns and we can only throw our emotions as much as we can.

The State Wants Brendan Dassey To Stay In Jail
Despite declaration of Avery’s case being overturned, Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel is petitioning the ruling in the seventh court.

In a related article of iTech Post last month, it was mentioned that a Milwaukee-based federal judge overturned Dassey's conviction as an accomplice for the rape and murder of photographer Teresa Halbach.

Fox6 News reported the statement of Attorney General Schimel revealing that Dassey’s admission of killing Halbach was intentional and the investigators did not in any way influence nor force him for such confession.

"We believe the magistrate judge’s decision that Brendan Dassey’s confession was coerced by investigators, and that no reasonable court could have concluded otherwise, is wrong on the facts and wrong on the law. Two state courts carefully examined the evidence and properly concluded that Brendan Dassey’s confession to sexually assaulting and murdering Teresa Halbach with his uncle, Steven Avery, was voluntary, and the investigators did not use constitutionally impermissible tactics," the lawyer explained.

"The Halbach family has been notified of the appeal and fully supports the State’s decision to seek justice on behalf of their daughter," Schimel elaborated.

It looks like Dassey will have an extended stay in prison and Netflix will have to be ready with surprises as remarkable happenings are unfolding.

“Making A Murderer” Bagged Four Emmy Awards
Out of 6 Emmy nominations on Sunday, the famous documentary series won 4 major awards.

According to Deadline, the show’s victory includes Best Documentary for nonfiction series, Best Writing and Best Directing for Nonfiction Program, and Best Picture Editing for Nonfiction Program.

“If they had not trusted us to take the time to listen and share their stories accurately and fairly, there would be no series,” showrunners Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi said upon accepting the awards onstage.
