Netflix’s "Bloodline" Will End After Season 3

“Bloodline” has come to its final stage.

After getting a 10 – episode season 3 renewal set for a 2017 release, Netflix announced that the thriller – drama series will end after the third season.

Deadline reported the cancellation statement released by Cindy Holland, Netflix’s vice president of original content.

“Bloodline season three will be the show’s final season,” Holland confirmed.

“Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler (KZK) are thoughtful and visionary storytellers who lead a prestigious cast that includes Kyle Chandler and Ben Mendelsohn, who have both garnered two Emmy nominations for their roles on the series. Together with our collaborative partners at Sony Pictures Television, they created a seductive show that Netflix viewers worldwide love and continue to discover. We are looking forward to the exciting climax KZK have in store for the series conclusion in May 2017,” she elaborated.

This sad revelation was forecasted prior. One of the showrunners, Kessler, told The Hollywood Reporter about the ambiguity of the show's fate in early June.

"Netflix is evaluating how it's doing for them and how it's performing, and are very hopeful that there will be a future as are we. We decided to set the show there … because it's crucial to what the show is, not because of the tax incentive, but it does affect things financially for us and the show will be challenged because of that. It makes things more difficult."

To recall, Florida slashed its entertainment tax benefits that results to series’ production getting more expensive. Netflix may have the finances but it may have reached overwhelming challenges that are hard to bear.

Let’s join Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, Sissy Spacek and Norbert Leo Butz in the final season of “Bloodline” next year.

After all, they deserve a grand farewell and we deserve a blockbuster treat.
