‘Resident Evil 7' Demo Trailer Now Out; Deluxe Edition's Price Increased

Japanese video game developer Capcom announced its price increase of "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" Deluxe Edition. The company's outstanding marketing campaign is in it again after it released a new trailer and an update for the "Beginning Hour" demo.

The demo, which is available to all PS4 gamers not just to owners of the PlayStation Plus, has featured new areas and items in the mysterious plantation house in Louisiana, the location where the game takes place. So far, the PS4-exclusive "Beginning Hour" demo has been downloaded over 3 million times.

The newest update has been made available starting Sept. 15 and will allow gamers to explore more of the mysterious, derelict mansion. This will be dubbed as the "Twilight" version update of the Beginning Hour demo.

Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition of the game will feature an additional episode and it comes with a price increase too.

"Previously offering the game and a season pass for two additional story episodes for $79.99 in North America, we'll be upgrading the digital deluxe version with an additional playable story episode starting tomorrow. This will also shift the price to $89.99 to account for the additional content," Capcom said in a statement.

"However, if you've already pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition on the North American PlayStation Store, your pre-order will automatically be upgraded at no additional charge," the company added.

Capcom announced its "Resident Evil 7" game will be fully playable in the PlayStation VR mode. This will provide gamers with an immersive gameplay while playing. The video game developer also confirmed that the game will be compatible with the PlayStation 4 Pro, allowing gamers to experience the game in high-resolution and rich visuals. Also, Xbox One S supports HDR display.

Capcom will release the most-awaited game, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard", on Jan. 24, 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
