'Grey's Anatomy' Season 13 News And Updates: DeLuca Might Not Survive; Fans Outraged Over Sandra Oh Not Returning

Fans are worried that Alex might go to jail in "Greys Anatomy" Season 13 but it seems like we should get worried about DeLuca more. Executive producer/director Debbie Allen hinted that DeLuca is in serious trouble, and worse, might not be able to survive. Meanwhile, negative reactions are surfacing after Sarah Oh confirmed she's not coming back on the show this season.

In an interview with E! News during Buzzfeed's Buzzies Pre-Emmy party in Los Angeles, Allen said: "Yeah... I directed that last episode last year. He was in trouble. I can just let you know that we pick up where we left off, so it's going to be a hot opening."

Allen also promised that this season will start with a blast and the storylines will be more dynamic and exciting. "That opening episode, which starts next Thursday night, it's something that'll knock your socks off, take your breath away, and make you want to keep watching," she teased.

On the other hand, fans are disappointed that former "Grey's Anatomy" cast Sandra Oh will not be appearing on the series again.

As previously reported here on Itechpost, Sarah finally addressed the rumors last week but her response is actually the opposite of what fans had been waiting to hear. Sarah was last seen on the hospital on 2014.

"No, I have no plans to return to Grey's anytime soon," Sandra said, cited Inquistr. "I've gotta tell you those rumors, I don't know who starts them but it really is tough."

Following the report, fans had been turning to social media to vent their frustrations, while others are still hoping that she will return on the series' finale

"Sandra said she hasn't had no plans to return to Grey's Anatomy my heart has broken again," @acrowen tweeted.  while @IaureIcastillos wrote: "Sandra is gonna come back to Grey's for the series finale I trust god let her live."

Rumors about Sarah Oh's return started when a fan posted a leak that episode two of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 is titled "The Return of Cristina Yang," but it turns to be incorrect. The second episode's actual title is revealed to be "Catastrophe and the Cure."

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 will premiere on ABC on Thursday, September 22.
