The Haunted' Is Among 3 New Series To Be Excited About From Syfy

"The Haunted", a supernatural horror-drama series, is among the 3 new series ordered for pilots by the Syfy channel. The other two series are titled "The Machine" and "Happy!"

The Haunted is about 4 siblings that came together in the wake of their parents dead. According to reports, the siblings will try to rebuild their relationship together but unfortunately encounters mysterious beings related to their past in order to move on.

The series will be co-written by Noga Landau, the same writer who wrote "The Magicians" pilot.

"The Machine" is also a series based on a 2013 film that is set in a time ruled by artificial intelligence. The story is led by 6 characters and the challenges man faces against technology. The new series is said to be getting the original film's creative team, including director Caradog James and original producer John Giwa-Amu.

The 3rd series included in the order is "Happy!" that is based on a graphic novel by Robertson and Morrison. It is a story about a corrupt cop that turns into a hitman. He lives in a world of murder, betrayal, and soulless sex. One incident will change his life forever as he meets a tiny, positive, and imaginary horse with blue wings. The series will be produced by Morrison and Brian Taylor along with Pavun Shetty, Neal Moritz, and Toby Jaffe. Taylor will also be the director of the pilot.

The 3 new series ordered by Syfy is a combination of different genres from supernatural horror to science fiction. The audience today are always craving for horror movies and "The Haunted" could just be the one to satisfy their cravings. Meanwhile, the other 2 new series are based on stories audience are familiar of in the past so both series will have their own set of fans that will anticipate the showing of its pilot episode.
