'Winds Of Winter': Release Date Pushed Back; G.R.R. Martin Still Not Done Writing

George R.R. Martin seems to be taking a lot longer than usual in releasing his new book, "The Winds of Winter." And what is even more disappointing to the fans, the book is not set to be released anytime this year.

However, according to a source, Amazon France has published on their site that the "Winds of Winter" will be released on March 09, 2017. This news sent a lot of fans into a frenzy.

George R. R. Martin's US publisher was quick to dismiss the supposed release date. They had issued a statement to Entertainment Weekly saying, "As his publisher, we support George RR Martin as he works hard to finish The Winds of Winter. Any on-sale dates currently listed online for the novel are incorrect. Once we have a publication date for The Winds of Winter, the world will know."

After the statement from the publisher was released, Amazon France has since taken down the post from their site.

Fans may remember George R.R. Martin's announcement last January that the book will not make it in time for "Game of Thrones" season 6 and has since apologized for its delay. He also admitted that he is not too keen in meeting deadlines, "The deadlines just stress me out. I am going back to my stance from last March, before all this. It will be done when it's done. And it will be as good as I can possibly make it."

The last book he finished titled "A Dance with Dragons" was released last 2011. His current book "The Winds of Winter" has been a work in progress for more than 5 years. Though he does post occasional chapters of it on his blog, fans have no choice but to wait and to wish for it to be as good as they are expecting it to be.
