'Sons Of Anarchy' Season 8 News And Update: Charlie Hunnam Not Included In The Prequel

"Sons of Anarchy" Season 8 is finally happening and it will be either a spin-off or a prequel of the series. The series is already in the making but unfortunately, Charlie Hunnam will not be in it. According to speculations, his feud with Kurt Sutter is one of the major reasons why he is excluded.

It can be remembered that Sutter and Hunnam were continuously rumored not to be in good terms in the previous seasons of SoA. However, Sutter said none of it was true. He admitted he wasn't online much because he didn't like the rumors. "C**tblogger twisting up an old story. I love Charlie. It's mutual." he added.

The real reason why Hunnam will not be in the prequel is because it will be set in the 1960s which will include the father of Jax Teller ( Charlie Hunnam's character), John Teller.

Sutter also shares that although the series is already in the making, no official date has been decided for the release of the spin-off. "We're figuring out what that would look like and I'm in the process of meeting with writers and narrowing it down,"

Just a couple of months ago, FX Productions has registered the name "Mayans MC" as the title of the prequel. Brad Pitt is said to be playing Teller senior in the spinoff while Elgin James will be the scriptwriter and producer, along with Sutter.

As for Hunnam, sources report his possible casting in "The Walking Dead" but no official statement has been released.

Charles Matthew "Charlie" Hunnam is an English actor and known for his role in FX drama series "Sons of Anarchy" since 2008 as Jackson "Jax" Teller. He also starred in Channel 4's drama "Queer as Folk" as Nathan Maloney, Fox Comedy's "Undeclared" as Lloyd Haythe, "Green Street" as Pete Dunham, "Nicholas Nickleby" as Nicholas and "Pacific Rim" as Raleigh Becket.
