Following endless rumors of Robert Pattinson's current relationship status with FKA Twigs and his alleged "coming out," new reports claim that the actor will reunite with his ex-girlfriend, Kristen Stewart in a new "Twilight" movie.
Edward Cullen and Bella Swan might just hit the big screen once more as Patrick Wachsberger, co-chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, recently discussed about the possibility of having a new installation in the "Twilight" saga.
In an interview with Screen Daily, Wachsberger hinted that Pattinson and Stewart are likely to reunite for another "Twilight" flick if the opportunity arises.
"It's a possibility. Not a certainty but it's a possibility. It's about Stephenie [novelist Stephenie Meyer]. If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we're here for her." he said, sparking hopes of a major comeback for the phenomenal tandem.
He then recalled how "Twilight" became a game changer for everyone involved. With more than $3 billion gross worldwide at the box office, the vampire flick has proven to be a major success. However, things should have been a lot different if it wasn't for Pattinson's last minute consideration.
"Robert Pattinson only came in three weeks before shoot," says Wachsberger. "An assistant, who has subsequently become a very successful executive, said, 'There's this guy called Rob Pattinson from the fourth Harry Potter...' I said, 'Well, let's fly him in from London'." And the rest, as they say, is history.
Wachsberger also noted that Pattinson got a very little salary for the first part but his lawyers renegotiated eventually, following the massive success of the franchise.
"He did his screentest and he got the job. I'm not going to tell you how little the salary was on the first one but of course lawyers were there to renegotiate deals following its success."
Pattinson and Stewart's on-screen chemistry in "Twilight" was evident as the franchise became a huge hit globally. With Wachsberger's statement, fans have something to look forward too. Will the adorable vampire couple make fans swoon once more?
