MTV Reviving Their Popular 90’s Show ‘Total Request Live’; New Show Aims To Get Millennials To Vote

Those who grew up in the 90's got a whiff of nostalgia on this one, as MTV has revived a cult favorite "Total Request Live", but this time around it was done for a more patriotic cause - to get the new generation to vote for the upcoming Presidential elections.

The event was a one-hour special aimed at sending a message to millennials to do a solid for Uncle Sam and register to exercise their right to vote. According to Huffington Post, the revival show was aired live and had featured the following artists and personalities:

  •  Kendall Jenner
  •  Fifth Harmony's Camilla Cabello
  •  Avenger's director Joss Whedon
  •  Hip Hop artist Vic Mensa
  •  "Stranger Things" star Natalia Dyer
  •  R&B artist TY Dolla $ign

It definitely looks like a ploy to stop a certain reality TV star from winning the highest seat in the land as the same report say that research indicates that Hillary Clinton's campaign would highly need those crucial votes from millennials.

It looks like MTV is not a big fan of the Donald Trump as they have resorted to bringing back cherished memories just for the sake of making a dent on the Trump campaign.

Another question is, will the old host Carson Daly be there? Well, fans can only hope as it looks like the hosting duties for the "TRL" revival will fall on MTV's own Nessa. Check out the video below to see whether Daly did make at least an appearance.

For music fans who are not in the loop regarding this fabulous show that once ruled the after-school spot, here is a good list of the best moments on MTV's "Total Request Live" during its ten-year run.

For those who grew up watching this show, "Total Request Live" was indeed a fun trek down memory lane when it graced the TV screen for one final time.
