'Arrow' Season 5: Confirmed New Enemies And New Friends

CW's most successful TV series is back!

The Season 5 of Arrow tagged as "Legacy" will premiere on October 5, Wednesday. The new trailer answered some of the questions last season and provided a promising sequel which teases fans about Oliver's new allies and bunch of enemies.

Remember deathstroke? Rumours has it that one of the baddest villain will be back for Season 5. Arrow star Stephen Amell a.k.a Oliver Queen teases fan and critics a like by posting a picture with him and a cosplay of deathstroke seating in a bench. New friends? Or a super friend? Amell sparked excitement to fans when he posted another picture revealing supergirl as his new friend. No official words yet if this is true but it is a great way of marketing to gain more viewers.

The list of new guests for Arrow season 5 is star studded. Actors like Rick Gonzalez (Rush, Mr. Robot) as Wild Dog, Josh Segarra as Vigilante, Madison McLaughli as Evelyn Sharp, The Walking Dead star Chad L. Coleman in the villain role of Tobias Church, Joe Dinicol as mystical vigilante Ragman, and Marvel's Jessica Jones star Wil Traval as Human Target, is set to join the Arrow franchise.

Season 4 was not that successful but not considered as a failure as well. Fans were complaining about the time and episode spent focusing on the saga of Olicity and barely little time on telling stories than fans expect. This was acknowledged by Stephen Amell stating that "the show seemed to lose its focus". However, he promised that season 5 will be much better as it went back to its roots.

The Season 5 premiere is described as follows:

"After Laurel's death and the departures of both Diggle and Thea from Team Arrow, Oliver takes to the streets solo to protect Star City's citizens as the Green Arrow. With Felicity guiding him from the bunker, Oliver is forced to deal with a city that has become overrun with both criminals and a slew of new (and painfully inexperienced) vigilantes. Watching Oliver try to balance his jobs as both the mayor and also the protector of Star City, Felicity suggests he form a new team, but Oliver resists. However, when a deadly new criminal, Tobias Church (guest star Chad L. Coleman), enters the picture, Oliver realizes the best thing for the city might be a new team of superheroes. Meanwhile, the flashbacks take us to Russia where Oliver faces off against the Bratva."
