Pokemon Go News: Niantic Praised Google Cloud Platform; Launch Issues Discussed

Many gamers around the world reveled for the release of the Pokemon Go game. However, the game developer Niantic had to face the numerous demands for the game. Its issues with server instability have gone worse in the absence of support from other major companies. Phil Keslin, Niantic CEO, posted an entry to the official blog site of Niantic. Keslin praised Google for its Cloud Platform and support amidst Pokemon Go's rising fame. According to his post, Google and Niantic cooperated in achieving solutions for Pokemon Go's unexpected server demands, and while formulating solutions to hotfixes issue to address game bugs.

According to Game Rant, Niantic has already anticipated that millions of players will play the game at the same time. However, they were surprised that it will reach to 500 million players. It can therefore be seen that Niantic needed support from Google, so that they can cater to the demands of the game, and in turn stabilize the server - as a fix for the massive server outages of Pokemon Go. Despite the disappointments of players about the game's downtime, Niantic was still able to address these problems. Niantic had already experienced the challenging reality of real world games through Ingress. Google was also a big help to the said situation.

If Google was not able to support Niantic, the gamers would still have been constantly struggling with Pokemon Go's server crashes and unexpected downtime until this day. Niantic and Google would be currently pleased to witness the game's userbase if it creates a major server strain as this would mean that the download rates of the game have gone back to how it was before. Despite the major updates and the addition of features for Pokemon Go, it has still not recovered from where it was during its initial release.
