Lindsay Lohan has been spending quality time in a boat lately but it seems she was close to losing her finger in an unfortunate boating accident.

Lohan's Ring Finger Accident

She took a video of her bandaged ring finger after it accidentally hit the boat's anchor and quickly posted it in Snapchat.

"Well, I lost half my finger, thank goodness we found the piece of my finger," wrote Lohan. A doctor had successfully reattached the affected part, hence the huge bandage.

Helping Syrian Refugees

The 30-year old actress has been in Turkey for some time, giving her help and support to some Syrian refugees. She knows the terrible suffering being experienced by people in Aleppo, thus extending her help as much as she can.

The accident occurred Sunday when Lohan's fingers got caught by the boat's anchor as she tried to lift it. During her struggle, the tip of her digit finger was cut off. According to TMZ, the heavy anchor dragged her into the water before she was able to untangle herself out of the scary ordeal.

A Little Help From My Friends

Lohan's friends were able to locate the cut-off part of her finger on the boat's deck. When she got back on board, they immediately rushed her to the nearest hospital where a surgeon was able to successfully reattach the torn-off part.

"This is the result of me trying to help anchor the boat by myself," said Lohan in the short video clip showing her affected finger securely bandaged. "My poor finger," she added.

She added more details of the incident in the video's caption.

"I almost lost my finger from the anchor," wrote Lohan. "Well, I lost half my finger. Thank goodness we found the piece of my finger... I just had surgery to fix it," she added.

"It hurts so bad," she complained. Given enough time for recuperation, she'll have her ring finger fully functional.
