PS4 System Software 4.01 Update Is Now Live

The new PlayStation 4 update is now made available, however big changes cannot be expected. PS4 v4.01 can now be downloaded upon turning on your PS4. It is only 312.1 MB. Its patch notes are only one line long. The system software update claims to improve the quality of the system performance, but no specific information was provided. The stability of the PS4 has also been developed for this update.

According to Game Spot, the latest major update of PS4 came out last September. It contained folders so that games and apps could be organized. Some of its menus were reformatted, as well as an added HDR support was made available for all PS4. With a price of $300, the PS4 Slim was also launched last September. Sony will be releasing its more improved PS4 Pro in November. The price will start at the $400.

The update for the Sony PS4 is not too heavy for downloading, since it is just another stability update. Users have claimed that the Sony PS4 update did not even take a long time to download. If you fail to see the update, you can just go to the PS4's settings and check if a download for the update is available, as Attack of the Fanboy reported. The update is necessary so that you can continue playing online, as well as it is needed so that you can visit the PlayStation store. Since the update was just too recently released, any major update cannot be expected yet. Updates may be posted after October 13. This is also a time when the PlayStation VR will be coming out. The PlayStation 4 Pro console will also be coming out on November 10. It is expected that additional updates will also be implemented for it. There will be 4K gaming, as well as streaming options available for it.
