Sony Xperia XZ is now out in stores and is available for purchase in markets across the globe, but the handheld phone might come out with a costly price.
Sony's new flagship which went for pre-order last month, receives an aluminum built and a strong set of internal features. Users can now get ahold the XZ on Amazon in Black or Silver for a reduced price of $700.
Sony Xperia XZ Availability
According to Android Headlines, Sony unveiled its Xperia XZ last month at IFA, alongside with a smaller phone called the Xperia X Compact. Since last month, Sony made already the Xperia X Compact available for purchase from Amazon.
Sony Xperia XZ has already launched in Taiwan and will be launching in other markets today, GSMArena reported. The said smartphone is already up in several UK, German and Finland retail sites with prices ranging from £550 to €700. In Poland, the device is priced at PLN 2,990 and in Sweden, SEK 6,990.
However, unlike the international models of the device, the US version of the Xperia XZ does not feature a fingerprint sensor.
Sony Xperia XZ Specs, Details
A report said that the Xperia XZ includes a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS that provides a maximum resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The device features a 23-megapixel sensor rear camera with a LED flash and f/2.0 aperture and a front camera of 13 megapixel with f/2.4 aperture.
Under the hood is an Adreno GPU and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Quad-core CPU. The new smartphone includes 32 GB of internal storage expandable via an SD card up to 256 GB and 3 GB of RAM.
Lastly, The mobile device is equipped with a 2,990 mAh non-removable Li-ion battery that can be fast charged via the phone's USB-C port. In terms of software, the Xperia XZ runs Sony's custom Xperia UI on top of Google's Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
While the smartphone has its own advantages, its main rivals such as the Samsung Galaxy S7 have already hit the shelves for awhile now and are significantly cheaper than the XZ. Despite the issue, stocks still seem to deplete rapidly with only 6 and 19 units remaining of the silver and black variants.
