Episode 2 of the fifth season of "Arrow" will feature a new team of vigilantes as well as a clue to who will play Mr. Terrific.
It looks like Oliver will be getting a bit paternal in episode 2 as he will try and train a new team of vigilantes who are both inexperienced and unique. The episode would mostly feature the Green Arrow teaching some of his harsh training methods to his new team and struggling to be successful.
The episode will be titled "The Recruits" and has already gotten a plot synopsis which reads:
"SUIT UP - Oliver's new recruits for Team Arrow are Curtis, Wild Dog and Evelyn Sharp. Unfortunately, the Green Arrow's training methods prove to be too much for some of them to handle. Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Oliver's initiation into the Bratva continues."
Other spoilers also touch on the topic of the Black Canary. Since it is already known that Lauren Lance wants the mantle to be passed on to someone else, then all eyes are on Evelyn as a possible successor. Although the news that the actress Katie Cassidy was signed to a deal with the network suggests that she could come back to play the character.
The third spoiler news has something to do with the character Mr. Terrific. Producer, Wendy Mericle has already dropped hints on the origins of the superhero via an interview with Collider:
"Oh, yeah! He's definitely bitten off a lot more than he can chew. The fun part about Curtis is that he really wants to do it, but in many ways, he's the least equipped to do it, especially out in the field. He's a very smart guy, but throwing punches is not his forte. You'll be seeing the evolution of Mr. Terrific and him dealing with his husband. His husband will have to come to terms with the fact that Curtis is out there fighting crime. I'm not sure Paul is going to be too excited about that."
It seems like fans would get more superheroes, villains, and new vigilantes on their TV screens.
Episode 2 of the fifth season of "Arrow" will air on October 12 at CW.
