To achieve the new Time Paradox achievement in the Modern Warfare campaign, killers need to kill Vladimir Makarov. Call of Duty fans are already familiar who Makarov is since he is the same villain in Modern Warfare 2 and 3. By killing him in Modern Warfare 1, a time paradox is created which means the second and third Modern Warfare did not take place.

Compared to the original Call of Duty Modern Warfare, the remastered version added Yuri and Makarov at the beginning scene of One Shot, One Kill Mission. Yuri is the main character and protagonist of Modern Warfare 3. In that scene, they were riding on a jeep in the area waiting for Zakhaev, who is Yuri's target in that mission.

The idea of the Time Paradox achievement in the remastered version is to join the join the Modern Warfare games in the timeline of the series.
