Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 News & Updates: Updated List Of New Characters; Trunks, Android 16 & Pan Gameplay Demo Build Revealed

The much awaited Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 release is almost here. After Bandai Namco announced that players would be able to import their character from Dragon Ball Xenoverse 1, the number of characters for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 increased to 75 from 68 characters, as confirmed through a game demo.

However, there are rumors that there will be 87 characters in all for the new installment. A new gameplay showing the gameplay for the demo build between Trunks versus Android 16 and Pan versus Time Patroller was also revealed.

Confirmed Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Characters

An earlier demo issued by Bandai Namco revealed only 68 characters in the game. The site Saiyan Island mentioned that based on the character slots for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, there are 87 characters on the list. As of the moment, there are 77 known characters for the game. Of these characters, 68 were from the game demo released by Bandai. There are additional eight characters from Dragon Ball Xenoverse 1 which are not on the list, namely: First Form, Frieza, Hercule, Ice Shenron, Nuova Shenron, Omega Shenron's regular form, Raspberry, and Videl. 

The fifth trailer for the game showed Meta-Cooler who is most probably another playable character and there's Black Goku. Black Goku is available as a pre-order bonus although players can also purchase it as DLC.

Gameplay From Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Demo Build

While waiting for the official release of the new game on Oct. 25, Bandai Namco has been releasing updates and videos on how Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Expert Missions work.

Gameplay demo builds featuring Trunks, Android 16, and Pan has also been uploaded to YouTube. However, more updates on what to expect from the newest Dragon Ball Xenoverse franchise would be available on Saturday, Oct. 8, the scheduled start date of the close beta for players who pre-ordered the game on PS4. The open beta would be available to all PS4 players on Oct. 14 and the game would be launched across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 25.
