The latest post by Samsung on its official Weibo account, featuring a picture of the back of a smartphone that reads, "The next big thing is coming", is rumored to be the Samsung Galaxy C9.
Despite Samsung's ongoing problem with its Galaxy Note 7 which they finally decided to permanently discontinue, Samsung Galaxy C9 is a silver lining that the market can look forward to. While the C-series are currently just sold in China, there are speculations that it will hit the US Market by mid-November. The Galaxy C-series specifications are 4,000mAh battery, connectivity options for Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2 and 4G LTE support.
This featured black phone in the teaser is a 6-inch full HD Super AMOLED display. It runs on a Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor with Adreno GPU. It is also rumored to be quite similar with OnePlus 3 and LeEco Le Max 2 because of its 6GB of RAM. The cameras are 16-mexapixel shooters for both front and on the back, and the C9 runs on Android 6.1 Marshmallow.
Comparing Samsung Galaxy C9 with Galaxy C7
- Size - Samsung Galaxy C7 is slightly smaller compared to Samsung Galaxy C9. While Galaxy C9 is 6-inch full HD, Galaxy C7 is only 5.7-inch in display. However, both carry the AMOLED display.
- RAM - Galaxy C7 is only 4GB while C9 is 6GB, making it the first Samsung smartphone with that high a RAM.
- Camera - Although both cameras are 16-megapixels, C9 has greater advantage. The 16-megapixel is for both the front and back cameras of the smartphone.
- Connectivity Option - The Galaxy C7 and the Galaxy C9 share the same connectivity options.
Samsung has not made a formal announcement yet on the Galaxy C9's launch date in the market. But with the rest of the Galaxy C-series being exclusive to China, it could be very well concluded that the C9 will take its first appearance in the same country.
