Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Library Keeps On Getting Better

Everyone laughed at Microsoft when they rolled out their Xbox One backwards compatibility last year. Why? For starters, their list of Xbox 360 games only contains around a dozen or two and those titles were nowhere triple-A. Second, most people would just prefer going forward with modern games, anyway, the Xbox 360 is still there to play the previous gen disks.

Eventually, Microsoft added sixteen more Xbox 360 games compatible with Xbox One in Dec. 2015 which includes popular games such as Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Halo: Reach. A month later, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive were also added to the delight of fans. From then on, it seems that new games were added every month for Xbox One.

Xbox One Backwards Compatible New Games

And here we are now with four more Xbox 360 games added to Xbox One backwards compatible library. Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb of Microsoft just revealed the new games on Twitter which are: Battlestations: Midway, Dragon's Lair, Jurassic Park: The Game, and Tour de France 2011.

Though the abovementioned Xbox 360 games were not "high profile games" or "critically acclaimed" but then who doesn't get excited that every now and then, Xbox One players would get more and more games to play due to its backwards compatibility feature? Besides, those wanting to go through nostalgia revisiting stress-free and bill-free childhood memories can certainly do it with Dragon's Lair.

Dragon's Lair on Xbox One

One of the most well-loved games can now be enjoyed by Xbox One owners! In this arcade game, you play Dirk the Daring, the heroic knight on a quest to rescue the princess from the evil dragon. Time to be the knight in shining armor, lads!

Jurassic Park: The Game on Xbox One

Set during the first Jurassic Park movie, a cinematic adventure awaits Xbox One players. Solve puzzles, explore deep into the island, and get up close to confronting a T.Rex in this fast-paced action game. Not for the faint-hearted.

Battlestations: Midway on Xbox One

Who would expect that you can finally play this epic naval combat 2007 game on Xbox One? This third-person action game from Eidos Interactive will relive players with classic battles from the Pearl Harbor, through the Philippines and the Coral Sea and then all the way to the Battle of Midway.

Tour de France 2011 on Xbox One

Push your racing skills to the limit with Tour de France 2011 now available for Xbox One. From picking your rider to choosing your trajectories, managing your team, and even maintaining reputation, you are definitely on your way to winning one of the most prestigious competitions in the world.

However, do take note that Xbox One Tour de France 2011 is the only game not available for all regions and United States being one of those not included regions.

For gamers whose favorite game titles still aren't in the Xbox One game library, more excitement are definitely coming so keep calm and game on.
