The latest feature of S550 is the wireless electric vehicle charging (WECV) scheme. It will be the first that the system will be available in the market. Mercedes Benz' WECV will be supplied by Tier 1, in a report from MSN.
Qualcomm provided a Halo technology last 2011. Mercedes Benz S550 has a Halo technology that is equipped for wireless charging. With the help of the latest tech, the resonant magnetic induction to transmit energy that is similar with conductive charging that has 90 percent efficiency rating.
The new technology is compliant with SAE J2954, which means that an industry can transmit wireless power by infrastructure, car makers and original equipment manufacturer. The Halo tech is expected to provide safety and high-quality performance, according to Car and Driver.

It also sports shift paddles with 9G- Tronic 9-speed automatic transmission. In simpler terms, the driver can change gears without lifting a hand on the steering wheel.

Lastly, there is a magic body control or in basic terminology, it uses sensors to scan the road and anticipate any obstacles ahead.
