Adobe Release Patch To Save Mac Users From 'Code Execution' Vulnerabilities

Adobe Systems Incorporated, one of the largest and most reputable software companies in the world, is calling out all their Flash Player users for an important update. This is due to the instance where the company detected serious vulnerabilities in their 23.0.0.162 version of their Flash Player, version 18.0.0.375 of their Player Extended Support Release and 23.0.0.162 version of their Flash Player for Google Chrome.

These were particularly discovered on the Flash Players of MacOS Sierra and OS X operating systems on Mac devices. As a part of their proactive strides against the issue, Windows and Linux users will also have the same fixes, as reported by MacRumors.

According to SC Magazine, a total of 84 vulnerabilities were discovered in the company's Reader, Flash and Acrobat offerings. There were a dozen remote code execution flaws found in the Flash too. Tencent, Palo Alto Networks, Trend Micro and other researchers were some of the companies that have identified the latest vulnerabilities.

In relation to this circumstance, Adobe immediately responded by creating a new security update for their users. These updates are created to address these critical vulnerabilities that can potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.

Mac users are urged to update their Flash Player to the latest version through the built-in update mechanism or through their website. Those who run the 11.3.x or the latest versions as well as those who chose the option to allow install updates" will inevitably receive the updates automatically.

As for those with the 23.0.0.185 version, they will automatically be updated by Google Chrome. Adobe's Flash Player is one of the most used applications in different industries. Over the years, their software has been proven to be trusted and reliable, and with their efforts to go above and beyond to safeguard their clients, we know it's a company that's worth our while.
