Pokemon Go News And Update: FastPokeMap Criticized Niantic's Poor Decisions

Niantic Labs recently decided to tweak their security systems for their augmented reality game Pokemon Go. As a result, all of the remaining third party apps are being terminated since they are still finding out a way to reverse the API of the new security system. Now, without these third party tracker sites, players are back to the traditional and difficult way of finding and catching Pokemon. FastPokeMap, the most popular tracking app as to date, had criticized Niantic for their poor decision.

According Attack of the Fanboy, FastPokeMap voiced out their feelings on the recent issue. A post from the developers stating that they do understand Niantic's plan on keeping the game's integrity. However, the post mentions that tracking is not the major issue on blocking these third party apps. Recently, Niantic's decision has not been in good terms while it was believed that the company is self-sabotaging the game on purpose to try to limit the growth of the game.

The post said that security measures motivate Niantic to hit the red button for these third party apps. Niantic is just trying to halt people from tampering with their database which in return will hurt their real players. FastPokeMap's developer explains how these security measures impact the millions of Pokemon Go players. The developer said that after the 0.37 update, the game's flow has become sluggish since then. The logic of the game's security system before was so simple and direct. However, currently, it has included a bunch of pointless calculations that distract the attention of the reverse engineers in figuring out the original equation.

Apparently, they would still figure it out in due time. That means the recent addition to the security is useless. The post ends leaving a message to Niantic which asks them to listen to the cry of their community regarding re-opening the game's API.

On other news, FastPokeMap revealed that they will be back within a few weeks. Therefore, players are expected to enjoy the service back again.
