With very little information about Dobrev's comeback, speculations arise that she might be replaced by someone else. Would it be her doppelganger Victoria Justice or a fellow vampire Kristen Stewart?

Since Dobrev's return seems to be in a blur, rumors are rife that the producers of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 are considering getting her replacement. With that, Kristen Stewart's name surfaced as a possible alternative.

Rumors claim that Stewart's vampire franchise "Twilight" made her fit for the role. It was reported that the actress is in negotiations with showrunner and creator Julie Plec as well as the CW to make a cameo role for some episodes in the upcoming Season 8 of "The Vampire Diaries." It was also rumored that Stewart's experience and success with her vampire flick is a major advantage. However, there has been no confirmation yet whether Stewart's appearance on the show will come to fruition or not.

Another name that has surfaced to take Dobrev's place is her doppelganger, Victoria Justice. The actress has been rumored to replace Dobrev's role for quite a while now. In fact, fans have been considering the actress even before Dobrev's official exit in the show.

Victoria Justice is known to be Dobrev's look-alike in Hollywood. In fact, Us Weekly once made a story about Dobrev and put a photo of Victoria. The actress took it positively, saying, "I've never really had a doppelgänger in my life, so this is like my first experience with this thing," Victoria quipped. "I thought that was hilarious the fact [US Weekly] put a picture of me thinking it was her."

However, despite the similarities in appearance, the alleged replacement never really materialized in the past. There has been no confirmation as well whether it will be a possibility in the upcoming season too.

For now, fans of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will have to wait for its official announcement about Dobrev's highly anticipated return.
