Volvo S90 T6: Performance And Specs Round-Up

There is a new sedan in town - the 2017 Volvo S90 T6. It looks like similar to the company's SUV, the S90, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Volvo's S90 T6 AWD: Specs and Performance

As with all of Volvo's S90, its engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, but the S90 T6 add something special -  a supercharger. The sedan will have a horsepower of 316 and torque of 295 lb-ft. 

Volvo calls its latest cars with "relaxed confidence" because the automaker is focused with luxury than sport. Also, S90 T6 can be compared with 2016 Lexus GS F, 2016 Nissan Altima SL, 2015 Aston Martin Rapide S, 2015 Mercedes-Benz S550 4MATIC and 2015 Hyundai Sonata, according to Digital Trends.

Volvo S90 T6 is better than S90, which is the base form of the newest sedan. The price of S90 is $45,950 while T6 AWD will cost $56,250.

Volvo's All New S90: The Basics

Before the car maker's introduction of the new sedan, it announced before that it will release an electric vehicle after five years.The only same thing with S90 T6 or basic S90 is the same old designed grille that has been the trademark of Volvo. S90 is a mid-sized sedan that is smaller than XC90. 

The engine of S90 is turbocharged and intercooled with double overhead cam (DOHC), meaning, double camshafts are separated for the intake valves and exhaust valves with four-inline cylinders that inject fuel directly.

Volvo S90 has three modes which are electric that can drive up to 75 mph, hybrid mode that can switch from gasoline to electric and combination of the two and lastly, power that the engine and electric motor will combine in order to reach 400 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque, according to Car and Driver.
