10 Horror Manga Series That Will Give You The Creeps This Halloween

Halloween is just around the corner, and most people are already finding ways on how to scare themselves silly by this time of the year. Some are ready with their horror movie selections to binge on while others are already done with their freaky costumes they will don on the scariest night of the year.

But if you still are not satisfied with all these Horror fixes then take a look at this list of horror manga that will definitely send some chills down your anime loving spine.

1. Uzumaki

Junji Ito is responsible for this hair-raising comic. The whole story is about a high school girl and her boyfriend who is living in a town that has just been cursed. Everyone in the town started getting paranoid about some mysterious and supernatural spiral shapes. This horror gem has been around for quite a while now, published around 1999. But the creep factor is still pretty much up to date.

2. The Enigma of Amigara Fault

An earthquake is scary enough for this city in Japan, but what they found in the aftermath is even stranger and just plain scarier. The people there discovered some human-shaped holes in the mountain that science cannot explain. Eventually, the people realize that each of them has a hole that fits them perfectly. Sooner or later, people come to the mountain to find their hole and get swallowed up by the ground. What happens next is the stuff of nightmares.

3. Kouishou Radio

This one is made by Masaaki Nakayama, who is known to write some good horror Manga. This series of supernatural tales is about ghosts who make their presence known through the use of hair. It's definitely as weird as it is scary.

4. Human Chair

If Stephen King wrote Manga, then this would definitely be right up his alley. It's about a chair that has a sinister secret.

5. Jisatsu Circle

This Manga by Furuya Usamaru takes the concept of mass suicide and just runs with it. The story kicks off with 54 teenage women who happily jumps to their deaths in front of an incoming train. The good news is one of the girls manages to survive virtually unharmed. The bad news is well she becomes more mentally unstable as the days go by.

6. Fasting

This is a story of a young girl who is insecure about her weight. She starts to go on a strict regimen and gained her desired results. She becomes quite thin and is finally desired by her crush. Everything seems roses until her hunger decides to set in.

7. Heads

A man gets a brain transplant after a shooting. It seemed like the whole procedure was a smashing success until the main character starts having thoughts. The freaky part is it was not him having those thoughts and someone else is about to take over him.

8. Grow

What more can I say? Sharks and other creatures of the sea start to grow insect-like legs and begin to wage a war on land. It was bound to happen.

9. Dokumushi Kozou

Hideshi Hino ups the weird factor about this story of a boy who has a hard time fitting in with the others gets bitten by an insect and morphs in an ugly insect-like monster.

10. Emerging

This one can hit pretty close to home as the Manga tackles the concept of a fast-spreading virus. A normal man walking in a crowded street in Tokyo suddenly started to gag and just sprays a vomit of blood over everyone who is close to him. This starts an epidemic of a massive scale that has the town scrambling for a way to contain it.
