It has been three years since the popular manga anime's first season left the airwaves. Due to its immense success, fans have been desperate to know when "Attack on Titan" season 2 will be released. Much to the fans annoyance, there is little real information regarding the second season.

Fans can now be happy knowing that the official "Attack on Titan" website has officially announced that the second season will be released in April 2017. Though it took the series a bit longer than expected, "Attack on Titan" season 2 is already in the works much to the delight of the fans.

Speculations are high that the upcoming season of "Attack on Titan" will focus on Eren's life as he makes his transformation into a Titan. Eren is said to have been forced to transform due to the dire need to fight against one of the most powerful Titans he will encounter. It is also rumored that the animated series will strictly follow the manga version and will show the antagonist Beast Titan in the upcoming season.

True to the manga version, Eren is expected to go to the basement and find Doctor Grisha Yeager's secret. He will soon discover that Zeke is actually his brother and he will learn more about the origin of the Titans. Eren will find out how Zeke was brainwashed to fight against them and they will soon discover that Zeke is a Titan as well.

Commander Erwin is rumored to be in grave danger after he saved Eren's life. Fans also believe that there is another Titan with a unique fighting ability and that the real identity of the Colossus Titan and Armored Titan will soon be revealed.

All these proves that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will be an exciting season. Luckily, fans are no longer in the smoke about the air date.
