Mass Effect 3 – Firefight Pack, Groundside Resistance Weapons Pack Released

EA and Bioware have currently announced and released a new weapons pack for the single player mode of the popular action role-playing title "Mass Effect 3."

The new pack, known as Groundside Resistance weapons pack, adds weapons like the Venom Shotgun, the Executioner Pistol, the Kishock Harpoon Gun, the Striker Assault Rifle, the N7 Typhoon Assault Rifle, the N7 Piranha Shotgun, and the Acolyte Pistol to Shepard's arsenal.

The pack is currently priced at $1.99, 160 MS/BW Points and is currently available on Origin, Xbox LIVE and PSN. However, the European PS3 gamers will have to wait before they can access the new pack.

Apart from the Groundside Resistance pack, the companies have also unveiled the Firefight pack for the game. The Firefight Pack provides as many as seven weapons for use in the single-player campaign. The weapons include the Indra and Krysae sniper rifles, Reegar Carbine, Harrier battle rifle, Geth SMG, plus an all-new Blood Pack Punisher SMG, and Adas Anti-Synthetic rifle.

The Firefight Pack is out now for $1.99 on Xbox LIVE, Playstation Network, and Origin.

This news was reported after the company provided more information about the upcoming Omega DLC. The Omega DLC with take players to Omega where they will aid Aria in reclaiming the space station.

"Our informants believe that Aria intends to seek out Commander Shepard for assistance. We are aware of the Commander's ties to Aria, but are unclear about how deep they run. What we do know is that Aria will be relentless in her fight to take back Omega, and with the Commander at her side, she may very well be unstoppable," the official page states.

The Omega DLC will become live on Sept. 27 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It will arrive for PS3 owners in Europe on the following day.

The new packs for "Mass Effect 3" have arrived after Bioware recently announced the Retaliation DLC pack for the game. The Retaliation DLC pack, per the company, includes Collectors to the game as enemies, and has other additions such as map upgrades, new class kits, new weapons, and more.
