Sarah Jessica Parker had a reunion with Robert Downey, Jr., her ex-boyfriend. The 51-year-old star confirmed that it wasn't as awkward as it may appear to many. Parker confirmed on Tuesday at The Howard Stern Show that she was delighted to reunite with his former love in 2015.

"It was really nice," Parker said to host Howard Stern. "It was surprisingly not weird ... We were 18 when we met. Fundamentally, we're sort of the same. I think the difference is he has a family and a wife and obviously his career is a massive thing."

"I always felt very affectionate toward him," added Parker. "I thought it ended well in a way. We broke up, but we were young and we broke up. I never didn't care about his well-being. I never felt resentment or bitterness."

Parker and Downey dated from 1984 to 1991. The split up was caused by Downey's issues on substance abuse during that time.

Downey confirmed to Stern in April 2015 that he reached out to Parker in October 2014 and reunited with her.

"Private stuff aside, we were able to spend some time together and it was really cool," said Downey in April 2015. "I went over to her place and then we went down the street ... to some tapas place."

"Seeing her, I was like, 'She's so great and so cool and so funny and so in command.' I got to meet her kids and I saw the way she and Matthew [Broderick] lived, and I respect both of them so much," added Downey.

Parker and actor Broderick were married in 1997. The couple have three children, twin daughters Tabitha and Marion, and son James. Downey, on the other hand, married his second wife Susan Downey in 2005. The actor shares 2 children with the producer, daughter Avri and son Exton.
