Metal Gear Solid V Has No Ending? Deleted FInale Plays An Important Role

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has two different endings. However, episode 51 was deleted - much to the disappointment of fans as it offered a more detailed explanation on some loose ends of the game.

Why Did The Finale Of Metal Gear Solid V Get Deleted?

According to AV Club, Metal Gear Solid V episode 51 got deleted due to budget and time constraints. Because of this, players are stuck with the current ending that does not really offer a satisfying closure.

The Metal Gear Solid V episode 51 is about Diamond Dogs finding Eli, the clone of Big Boss. This would eventually lead to a battle with the Metal Gear Sahelanthropus and Eli.

"You don't get the last word, Father," Eli says. "I'll break the curse of my heritage." At the end, Snake leaves him with a gun and a single bullet. Eli would then eventually become the villain Liquid Snake.

The current ending does not offer the kind of satisfaction that players can get from witnessing Metal Gear Solid episode 51. This actually provides more answers than the surprisingly confusing existing ending.

Metal Gear Solid V Is Available On PS4 And Xbox One

In a report from Game Spot, Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience includes The Phantom Pain, Ground Zeroes and other DLCs that are available for PS4 and Xbox One.

The Definitive edition has complete versions of two MGS games that have Phantom Pain's DLC but it does not have the Mission 51 video. In the official Metal Gear's Twitter account it clarified that there are no current plans on continuing the mission episode.
