Fan-Made Sonic Utopia Game Is Even Better Than Sega's Version, Here's Why

Sega keeps on failing on creating a Sonic game for almost ten years. Thankfully, a fan-made amateur game called Sonic Utopia has surfaced and the results are way better than any of the developer's games.

Sonic Utopia, A Sonic The Hedgehog Game That Should Have Been

Since Sega has not been doing fine and in giving justice to the old Sonic the Hedgehog with its releases of unappreciated video games. Fans have decided to give their fellow hedgehog game fanatic the Sonic Utopia.

According to PC Gamer, Sonic Utopia is an imagination of Sonic in a different world by Mr. Lange, the main developer of the fan-made game. The game is "an experiment that not only tries to expand on Sonic gameplay in an intuitive way in 3D, but also aims to capture the best of Sonic's style and tie it together in a cohesive experience," Lange said.

The developers wanted to create an enjoyable version of the classic game using their knowledge and ideas. Sonic Utopia is about the Sonic The Hedgehog and how the game was before. Lange aims to reinvent the glory days of Sonic games before. Surely, even if Sega has not created a modern game for its famous character, fans are already accepting of Sonic Utopia and seem to be enjoying it.

Fans Are Still Crazy About The Sonic The Hedgehog

In a report on BGR, since early 2000, fans are still enjoying Sonic as evidenced by their undending support to the Sonic Amateur Games Expo (SAGE). In this convention, fans are given the opportunity to see and to demonstrate any Sonic-related videos and updates.

This year, SAGE just released 50 developed and undeveloped projects and one of them is Sonic Utopia that created a massive hysteria among the fans. It is up to Sonic's developer, Sega, if they will celebrate the success of the fan-made game.
